Rabbena collects no data. This page exists to state clearly what we do not collect.
No personal data is collected, sent to a server, or shared with third parties. The app has no server, no account, no analytics and no advertising SDK.
If you wish, you can download the audio once to listen to the Qur'an recited by a hafiz. These files are hosted on Apple's App Store infrastructure and are fetched directly from Apple to your device only when you start the download; our own server is not involved here either, and no personal data is collected. If you choose not to download it, the app keeps working without internet; once downloaded, the audio also plays offline.
Your location is used only to calculate prayer times on your device and is never sent to any server. The name of your place is also looked up on your device from a city list bundled with the app (GeoNames, CC BY 4.0). You can also pick a city from a worldwide list without granting location access.
Prayer marks, missed-prayer records, special-day records, dhikr counters, bookmarks and settings are stored only on your device (and your Apple Watch). iPhone–Watch transfer uses Apple's device-to-device connection and never reaches us. Deleting the app deletes this data. You can export it as CSV at any time.
Prayer notifications are scheduled locally on your device; there is no server.
Supporter membership (monthly/yearly auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase) and optional tips to the developer (tea/coffee/meal; not a charitable donation) are processed by Apple's App Store. We have no access to your payment details. Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy. Terms of use: Apple Standard EULA.
Because the app collects no data, it is suitable for all ages.
